An avid fan of Sense8, Daredevil, Mr. Robot and House of Cards? Then this is good news for you!
Popular streaming website Netflix is now available in the Philippines! During the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Netflix announced that it is further expanding its reach globally by making its services available to 190 countries.
In the Philippines, subscription starts at PHP370 (Basic plan) with higher plans available: PHP460 for the Standard Plan (HD) and PHP550 for the Premium Plan (Ultra HD).
As with the case in other countries, not all shows and movies will be available in the Philippines. I read somewhere that Better Call Saul is not available in the US. Well, you can binge watch the show if you are in the Philippines.
Streaming services are on the rise in the Philippines with other products like iWantTV, Hooq and iFlix. Netflix is definitely a welcome addition to the options available.
And to get you familiarized with the service, Netflix is offering the first month upon your registration for free! If you plan to continue your subscription, payment can be done via credit card or PayPal and you can cancel anytime.
But with the still slow internet speed in the country, I wonder when the streaming service will really take off.
